Santragachi Jheel
DirectionSantragachhi Jheel is a large lake, located next to the Santragachhi railway station. This lake attracts large number of migratory birds in the winter months, particularly in December and January. The number has increased in recent years, as migratory birds have started to avoid destinations like the lakes in Alipore Zoo, Kolkata.

By Air
There is no direct connection from Kolkata to Santragachi Jheel. After reaching Kolkata Airport i.e., Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport, you can take any way by Rail or by Bus.
By Train
Howrah Junction. 38447 - Howrah - Panskura Local. Santragachi Junction. Walk about 7 min, 650 m reach to Santragachi Jheel.
By Road
Follow Old Cab Rd to Bankim Setu. Take Mahatma Gandhi Rd, Panchanantala Rd and Deshapran Shasmal Rd to Brindaban Mullick Ln/Ichapur Rd. Follow Ichapur Rd to Dr Bholanath Chakraborty Sarani. Turn left at ShivaLinga Shrine onto Dr Bholanath Chakraborty Sarani. Continue on Sarat Chatterjee Rd to your destination in Baksara. Santragachi Jheel.
