Bhot Bagan Math, Ghusuri
The famous Bhot Bagan Math is Tibetan Buddhist Temple or Monastery is located at Ghusuri , Howrah. Bhot Bagan Math was the first Tibetan Buddhist Temple in the plains of India. The word “Bhot”, used in ancient India to refer to Tibetans probably comes from the Tibetan word “Bod”, meaning Tibet. “Bagan” in Bengali means garden, and “Math” is Bengali for monastery. Bhot Bagan therefore, would mean Tibetan Garden, and that is what this was originally meant to be.

By Air
There is no direct connection from Kolkata to Bhot Bagan Math, Ghusuri. After reaching Kolkata Airport i.e., Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport, you can take any way by Rail or by Bus.
By Train
From Howrah Station take C50 train to Shyam Nagar Station, then by road to Jaiswal Hospital and walk for About 15 min, 1.3 km to reach Bhot Bagan Ln.
By Road
Take Old Cab Rd to Bankim Setu. Take Salkia School Rd and Grand Trunk Rd to Guha Rd in Ghusuri. Continue on Guha Rd. Drive to Bhot Bagan Ln.
