Schemes under that department:
- Actual implementation of supply of cooked mid day meal to school children between Class I to Class VIII in Government and Government aided schools across the State.
- Monitoring of the overall implementation of the scheme.
- Submission of reports and returns as per Govt. norms.
About the schemes:
- The Government of India initiated the National Programme of Nutritional Support to Primary Education (NP-NSPE) on 15 August 1995. The objective of the scheme is to help improve the effectiveness of primary education by improving the nutritional status of primary school children. Now It is known as Cooked Mid-Day Meal Programme(CMDMP).The Scheme is protected under the order of the Supreme Court.
- Printed Guidelines of the state in vernacular is available with the concerned office at all levels.
Required Eligibility for applying the schemes: Student of Govt , Govt Aided , MSK, SSK & Madrasha From class PP to class VIII are eligible for this schemes
Method of applying for the scheme : This project is implementing through school with the assistance of District, sub-division and Block/Municipality Mid Day Meal official and staff.
Due to Covid 19 situation We supplied rice ,potato, Chhola, sugar , soyabean ,pulses and soap to 512103 no of student from March 2020 to till date.

Amount of Food grains alloted for each student in each meal
100gm rice per meal for student under Class PP to V and 150gm rice per meal for student under class VI to VIII are allotted from Govt
Amount of Cooking cost alloted to each student for each meal
Rs 4.97/- for each student per meal under class PP to V and Rs 7.45 /- for each student per meal under class VI to VIII are allotted from Govt.
