About the Schemes:

Educational schemes:

• Shikshashree: An innovative scholarship scheme, ‘Shikshashree’, has been introduced for SC& ST students of class V to VIII. The scholarship is being paid directly to the Bank Accounts of the Students. You need to contact the school’s headmaster to process online. Eligibility: V-VIII (SC/ST), Scholarship amount – Rs. 800/- (Family income is within Rs. 2.5 Lakh.)
• Post-Matric SC/ST: Online application through www.oasis.gov.in  for the SC/ST students of Class-XI onwards. Scholarship amount – Starts from Rs. 3000/-p.a (Family income is within Rs. 2.5 Lakh.)
• Post-Matric OBC: Online application through  www.oasis.gov.in  for the OBC students of Class-XI onwards. Scholarship amount – Starts from Rs. 1920/-p.a. (Family income is within Rs. 1 Lakh.)
• Pre-Matric SC /ST: Online application through www.oasis.gov.in  for the SC/ST students of Class-IX-X. Scholarship amount –Rs.3000/- p.a. (Family income is within Rs.2,50,000/- for SC and 2,00,000/- for ST)
• Pre-Matric OBC: Application to be submitted at the school level (Class V to X). Schools are entitled to verify and forward the application online to the district end. Scholarship amount –Rs. 1500/- p.a
• INTER-CASTE MARRIAGE: Inter-caste marriage grant application can be made through www.anagrasarkalyan.gov.in. Eligibility: A couple [ One SC and other GENERAL] can apply after one year of their date of Registry Marriage. 
• Unclean Occupation: Scholarship to the children of those engaged in Unclean Occupation. The beneficiaries of this scheme are the students of whose parents are flayers, tanners, scavengers, waste picking/collecting, or engaged in similar other professions. The day scholars and hostellers of this category also get grants. Students from families involved in this work will fill up the Scholarship Form and submit it to the concerned school authorities. Application forms are available through www.oasis.gov.in. 
• Dr. BR Ambedkar Merit Award: Students of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes who have passed the secondary level get an incentive allowance of Rs. 5,000 / – on the basis of number.
• Joint Entrance: Only Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) students are eligible for this facility. All SC and ST students who take Joint Entrance Examination while pursuing Higher Secondary Education and take coaching from the BCW department and Edudigm Coaching Center for higher studies in Medical and Engineering are eligible for this scholarship. The amount of the scholarship is Rs. 300/- per month.

• Distribution of  Bi-Cycle: Total no of 458339 Bi-Cycle distributed through the Sabuj Sathi scheme under Howrah District till July 2021 (Phase-I to Phase-VII)
• LOAN: Individual Benefit Scheme under the W.B.S.C, S.T. & O.B.C. Dev. & Fin. Corporation, Howrah
